Elisa Carrió has confirmed her candidacy for deputy for the Province of Buenos Aires and has launched harsh criticisms against President Javier Milei and his sister Karina. In the midst of the scandal surrounding the Libra case, Carrió labeled the Mileis as "marginals" and denounced that they have benefited from the situation on several occasions. Carrió compared Karina Milei to Julio De Vido, stating that "just as I said in 2013 that the cashier was De Vido and later Lázaro Báez, now the cashier is Karina."
Regarding the investigation into the Libra case, Carrió expressed confidence that prosecutor Taiano will gather evidence, although she expressed distrust that Judge Servini de Cubría will take action on the matter. According to her, it's "a matter of patience." The former deputy added: "I have absolute confidence in Karina Milei and in the president," indicating that she concludes the topic with that statement.
The Chief of Cabinet, Guillermo Francos, responded to Carrió's allegations against Karina Milei. He dismissed the accusations made by the leader of the Civic Coalition by recalling a previous mistake by Carrió that resulted in a false accusation. Guillermo Francos indicated that Carrió made this allegation on the same program in which she announced her candidacy in the province of Buenos Aires. According to Francos, "this is a pyramid scheme." He urged Carrió to present evidence before the justice system if she has any and assured that even if it doesn't come to light now, it will eventually become public.
